This set reissues 22 books on syntax, originally published between 1971 and 1994. Together, the volumes cover key topics within the larger subject of syntax, including reflexivization, morphology and syntactical theory. Written by an international set of scholars, particular volumes focus on languages such as French and Spanish, whilst other volumes are devoted specifically to syntax in the English language. This collection provides insight and perspective on various elements of syntax over a period of over 20 years and demonstrates its enduring importance as a field of research.

Die Studie betrachtet die deutschen Perfektkonstruktionen HABEN + V-PP und SEIN + V-PP aus gebrauchsbasierter Perspektive. Dazu nimmt sie eine detailliert Untersuchung in zwei Zeitschnitten vor: Zum einen werden alle Perfektformen in den groeren fruhalthochdeutschen und altsachsischen Textdenkmalern analysiert und ihr Grammatikalisierungsgrad verglichen. Dabei stehen Frequenz, Funktion und Distribution der Hilfsverbkonstruktionen im Vordergrund. Es zeigt sich, dass beide Konstruktionen bereits seit den fruhesten Belegen grammatikalisiert sind und Perfektfunktion erfullen....

Gegenstand dieser Studie sind nonagentive Konstruktionen des Deutschen, die sich mageblich durch die ihnen eigene Perspektivierungsleistung auszeichnen. Sie werden als eigenstandige Formate aufgefasst mit konkreten Formen und spezifischen Bedeutungen. Damit wird das 'Konversenmodell' der 'aktivischen und passivischen Handlungsformen des Verbs' suspendiert.
