Vertrauen ist ein wichtiger Mechanismus sozialen Lebens. Seine Bildung ist grundlegend an Kommunikation - und somit an Sprache - gebunden. Der Zusammenhang zwischen Vertrauen und Sprache wurde bisher dennoch kaum naher beleuchtet. Die Einfuhrung widmet sich eben diesem Desiderat. Sie fokussiert den Prozess der Vertrauensbildung und zeigt exemplarisch auf, aus welchen Perspektiven und mit welchen linguistischen Methoden er untersucht werden kann.

Das Buch befasst sich mit der Frage, wie sich die substantivierten Infinitiv-Konstruktionen (am-, beim-, im-, zum- und Absentiv-Konstruktionen) beschreiben lassen, die mit den herkommlichen Beschreibungsmustern nicht zu erklaren sind.
