Była to podróż do ostatniej wioski plemienia Wai Wai - daleko na południe, w dżunglę na pograniczu Gujany i Brazylii. (Opisałem tę wyprawę w książce "Gringo wśród dzikich plemion" wydanej w tej samej serii).
Świata opisanego przez Arkadego Fiedlera już nie ma. Świata opisanego przeze mnie kilkadziesiąt lat po Fiedlerze też już nie ma. Coraz trudniej spotkać szczęśliwych Indian. Coraz rzadziej... Ja też byłem w Gujanie, tyle że prawie pół wieku po Arkadym Fiedlerze. I też spotkałem tam szczęśliwych Indian, lecz... byli to Indianie osta...
