My life can best be described as a series of odysseys, beginning in the colonial period, in Jamaica, a tiny island in the Carribean Sea, extending to Great Britain and currently settling in the United States of America. For these journeys, my role evolved from that of a frightened, naive youngster, to an independent young adult, an abused wife, a mother, a nurse, and a divorcee to that of a senior citizen living in Athens, Georgia.
