TransArts is a novel approach in the art education system: the separation of the theory and practice of art while maintaining all the differences is seen as arbitrary and even obsolete. TransArts teaches the common and distinctive features of theory and practice and takes account of the fact that different artistic disciplines are mutually dependent and reinforcing but are also in competition with one another.

Disziplinare Grenzen uberschreitend zielt der Band darauf ab, die Visualisierung Mohammeds in der westlichen Welt vis-a-vis mit dessen Darstellung im Islam zu untersuchen. Dabei wird das Material weder geographischen oder sprachlichen Spharen zugeordnet noch werden Textquellen isoliert von bildlichen Darstellungen betrachtet.
