Fingerponds are earthen ponds dug at the edge of natural wetlands and stocked naturally with wild fish during flooding. In this study, these systems are examined in Lake Victoria’s wetlands in Uganda. The role of Fingerponds in ameliorating food security for resource-poor communities is discussed.
