This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-workshop proceedings of the Second International Conference on the Practice and Theory of Automated Timetabling, PATAT'97, held in Toronto, Canada, in August 1997.
The 17 revised full papers presented were carefully selected for presentation at the conference and then had to pass a second round of reviewing. A Philosophical Enquiry into the Origin of Our Ideas of the Sublime and Beautiful is a 1757 treatise on aesthetics written by Edmund Burke. In short, the Beautiful, according to Burke, is what is well-formed and aesthetically pleasing, whereas the Sublime is what has the power to compel and destroy us.
