This book demonstrates how to implement social justice counselling, based on a combination of existing theories. Each chapter contains experiential activities and competency building activities where students can increase their knowledge, awareness, and skills in relation to social justice counseling.

This book outlines the historical movement toward advocacy in counseling and how to infuse principles of social justice counseling into everyday practice. The authors present a historical background of social justice in Part I as well as an overview of dominant/prevailing theories. They then combine the theories and present an integrated social justice theory. In Part II, they demonstrate its practical implications with individual clients, groups, communities, school, marriage and family, and professional training.
