We are in a new age of consciousness and understanding. This is not the first time this has happened and it won't be the last. The shift in consciousness that saw the building of the pyramids around the world, the birth of religion, the industrial revolution, the information age, these are all examples of quantum leaps in human development. I truly believe that we are right slap bang at the beginning of another one: an age of connection, energy, and the coming together of science, spirituality and religion to finally help us understand how the universe and stuff really works.
