Steve Taber (1924 – 2008) was a world –recognised honey bee researcher who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture first at Baton Rouge then at Tucson. On his retirement he founded “Taber’s Honey Bee Genetics” to continue his work with bees. It was said that “If Steve said it – it would be correct”.
