Dr. Christian Wipperfürth studierte als Friedrich-Ebert-Stipendiat Geschichte, Politikwissenschaft und Philosophie in Bonn. Er war unter anderem im Bankwesen, in der Erwachsenenbildung, für das Europäische Parlament, den Deutschen Bundestag und das Erste Russische Fernsehprogramm tätig. 2001 promovierte er an der Freien Universität Berlin. Von 2001 bis 2004 war er Gastdozent für Internationale Beziehungen an der Staatlichen Universität St. Petersburg.
