Gemma Lees was inspired to write this collection of stories after becoming disillusioned with the range of issue-based childrens books currently available on the market. Her aim was to use the kind of bright, colourful and off-the-wall characters used in popular childrens television programmes and language that would appeal to a range of ages. The book was designed to be read to children in Key Stage 1 and by those in Key Stage 2.
