Katalog zur Ausstellung Die Dsseldorfer Schule Photographien von 1970 bis 2008 mit ber 80 photographischen Arbeiten aus der privaten Kunstsammlung des Verlegers Lothar Schirmer, die am 11. November 2009 in der Bayerischen Akademie der Schnen Knste erffnet und bis 14. Februar 2010 gezeigt wird. Neben Bildern von Bernd und Hilla Becher sind Photographien von elf ihrer Schler wie z.B. Andreas Gursky, Thomas Ruff, Thomas Struth, Candida Hfer oder Laurenz Berges zu sehen.

Sepp Werkmeister made his name as a leading jazz photographer of the 1960s and '70s. Traveling to the biggest and best concerts and festivals, he became a fixture in the community and counted among his subjects Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Oscar Peterson, among many others. Many of Werkmeister's photographs were taken in New York City, home--then as now--to a thriving jazz scene.
