Women economists rarely feature in textbooks on the history of economic thought before 1960, despite the many articles and theses produced by them in the period. This book, asking why, and seeking to find those who supported women economists, looks at the lives and thought of the women who contributed to the building of the economics profession. The volume also includes the personal memoir of the experience of one female graduate studying in the 1930s.
