A study to compare the attenuation of cardiovascular response to Laryngoscopy and intubation was done with intravenous bolus dose of 200 mg of Esmolol hydrochloride and Lignocaine hydrochloride 2mg per kg body weight IV bolous. 50 patients were studied who underwent general and gynaecologicval surgeries, Belonging to ASA Grade - I and MP Grade I of both sexes between age group of 20 - 50 years.
