Freshwater Hydrocharitaceae of Bangladesh is represented by 6 genera namely, Hydrilla, Blyxa, Nechamandra, Vallisneria, Ottelia and Hydrocharis (Khan and Halim 1987). Under these genera 9 species have been reported so far.
