The Trichoderma spp. not only work as the bio-control agent for the control of different plant diseases But also help in improving of the plant health, stimulation of root growth, induced resistance, enhanced nutrient uptake, enhanced solubilization of soil nutrients. Selection of appropriate strain, time of application and doses are important points need to be considered before selection and application of the Trichoderma spp. for efficient disease management and enhance profitability of the farming.

The present investigation was undertaken to study management of black gram(Vigna mungo L. Hepper) anthracnose disease [Colletotrichum lindemuthianum (Sacc.& Magnus) Briosi & Cavara] which is quite destructive in all the black gram growing areas. The seed yield in protected plots with carbendazim 25% + mancozeb 50%WS over unprotected plots was 1162 kg/ha and avoidable yield loss of 48.19 percent.
