La présente recherche parle d'un phénomène culturel, historique, folklorique et social: l'origine du vaudou, des zombis haïtiens et des croyances et du folklore qui y sont attachés. L'analyse des croyances populaires et notions folkloriques mène vers la découverte du lien rapport de ce phénomène à l'histoire de la traite négrière et montre un certain partage de croyances liées au sel dans le folklore des peuples du monde.

This article deals with a cultural, historical, folkloric and social phenomenon: the origin of voodoo, Haitian zombies and the beliefs and folklore associated with them. The analysis of popular beliefs and folklore notions leads to the discovery of the link between this phenomenon and the history of the slave trade, and shows a certain sharing of salt-related beliefs in the folklore of the world's peoples.

Der vorliegende Artikel befasst sich mit einem kulturellen, historischen, folkloristischen und sozialen Phänomen: dem Ursprung von Voodoo, den haitianischen Zombies und den damit verbundenen Glaubensvorstellungen und der Folklore. Die Analyse der Volksglauben und folkloristischen Begriffe führt zur Entdeckung der Verbindung dieses Phänomens mit der Geschichte des Sklavenhandels und zeigt eine gewisse Gemeinsamkeit der salzbezogenen Glaubenssätze in der Folklore der Völker der Welt.
