Dieses Projekt fand in einem Unternehmen statt, das torrefizierte Biomassepellets herstellt. Ziel war es, eine Lean-Methode anzuwenden, um die Arbeitsplatzbedingungen für die Mitarbeiter des Unternehmens zu verbessern. Bei dieser Methode handelte es sich um die 5S-Methode, der ein neues S hinzugefügt wurde, das die Sicherheit betraf. Der Produktionsprozess wurde auch anhand des Indikators für die Gesamteffizienz der Anlagen vor und nach der Einführung der 5S+1-Methode charakterisiert.

This project took place in a company that produces torrefied biomass pellets. The aim was to apply a lean methodology in order to improve workplace conditions for the company's employees. This methodology was 5S, to which a new S was added - safety.
