This book is the first volume of a five-part monograph on the art of Canada's Pacific Northwest coast and is part of my dissertation: "Formline Design and the Transformation of the Trickster Image in Theory and Art History: With Special Reference to the Ethnic Groups of Canada's Pacific Northwest Coast."
