This study presents the composition and ecological characteristics (richness, diversity, cell density, and carbon biomass) of the phytoplankton community, investigating the occurrence of potentially harmful microalgae and the influence of environmental factors in oyster farming areas in Camamu Bay, Bahia, Brazil. The microphytoplankton consisted of 79 taxa, presenting diversities typical of oligotrophic coastal regions.

Le présent travail présente la composition et les caractéristiques écologiques (richesse, diversité, densité cellulaire et biomasse carbonée) de la communauté phytoplanctonique, en étudiant la présence de microalgues potentiellement nocives et l'influence des facteurs environnementaux dans les zones d'élevage d'huîtres de la baie de Camamu, Bahia-Brésil. Le microphytoplancton était composé de 79 taxons, présentant une diversité typique des régions côtières oligotrophes.

In der vorliegenden Arbeit werden die Zusammensetzung und ökologischen Merkmale (Reichtum, Vielfalt, Zelldichte und Kohlenstoffbiomasse) der Phytoplanktongemeinschaft vorgestellt und das Vorkommen potenziell schädlicher Mikroalgen sowie der Einfluss von Umweltfaktoren in Austernzuchtgebieten in der Bucht von Camamu, Bahia, Brasilien, untersucht. Das Mikrophytoplankton bestand aus 79 Taxa und wies eine für oligotrophe Küstenregionen typische Diversität auf.
