This new complete translation of the over 130 songs and poems of Oswald von Wolkenstein (ca. 1377-1445) stays close to the original text and is philologically oriented. It replaces the previous publication in 1989 by the same editor which has been out of print for many years. All of the many bibliographical references have been updated for the new edition and some text passages have been translated and/or annotated again. Here the main objective was to elucidate all the historical and metaphorical contexts or ambiguities - as semantically open as possible - in the texts of Oswald.
