In the new paradigm of cultural heritage recording, documenting and reconstructing visually complicated geometrical patterns remains extremely challenging. A major difficulty stems from the archaeological reality of the historic patterns which are deteriorated or visually unclear. In addition, existing recording technologies rely heavily on the subjective nature of our perceptual power in understanding its complexity and depicting subtle color differences.
