Detective Lydia Chin has been hired by her mentor Joel Pilarsky on a seemingly straightforward case. But within a day of starting their investigation, Joel is shot dead. The police think it was a robbery gone wrong, but Lydia is convinced its connected to the missing Holocaust assets they were investigating.
