Auta Balefi, located in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, North-Central Nigeria, lies within the Precambrian Basement Complex on the Keffi Sheet 208NW. The Nigerian Basement Complex consists of three main lithological groups: the Migmatite-Gneiss Complex, the Schist Belts, and the Older Granites.
