My book tells my story, Valens, a 7-year-old boy who survived the genocide against the Tutsis in Rwanda in 1994. Together with his one-year-old brother, they managed to escape the massacres. This book describes not only how Valens survived, but also how he traveled many miles while taking care of his little brother.
