Malaria and anemia are critical public health issues for pregnant women, particularly in endemic regions. This study assessed the prevalence of malaria and anemia among 130 pregnant women attending antenatal clinics at the General Hospital, Calabar in Africa. Using thick and thin blood smears and hematocrit methods, results indicated that only 3 women (2.31%) were infected with malaria (p=0.487), showing a low prevalence.
