This book is part of a research project that aims to study the language practised in the prison environment, considering the context of social isolation, the forced coexistence between people with different personal histories, the precarious structural conditions of the units that make up the Brazilian Penitentiary System and the lack of respect for the norms contained in the legal provisions.
