The history of government wage review in Nigeria is as old as the history of the nation's minimum wage. Minimum wage, which relates to some legal restrictions on the lowest wage rates payable by employers to their workers, have influenced wages in Nigeria since 1955, courtesy of the Wages Board Act of 1955. From 1955, successive governments have set minimum wages for all kinds of occupations/trades, especially the ones that can be considered formal.

This work is a normative research that addresses the role of political parties in political consolidation in Nigerian politics. A historical approach was adopted for analysing the qualitative data in this research. However, this paper relies more on secondary descriptive data that explain the sequence and chronology of political parties in Nigeria and their roles in fostering political consolidation.

Für die Analyse der qualitativen Daten in dieser Untersuchung wurde ein historischer Ansatz gewählt. Allerdings stützt sich diese Arbeit eher auf sekundäre, beschreibende Daten, die die Abfolge und Chronologie der politischen Parteien in Nigeria und ihre Rolle bei der Förderung der politischen Konsolidierung erklären.

Cette thèse est une recherche normative qui traite du rôle des partis politiques dans la consolidation politique au Nigéria. Une approche historique a été adoptée pour analyser les données qualitatives de cette recherche. Cependant, ce document s'appuie davantage sur des données descriptives secondaires qui expliquent la séquence et la chronologie des partis politiques au Nigéria et leur rôle dans la promotion de la consolidation politique.
