This dissertation is a comparative analysis between the play "Luces de Bohemia" by the Spanish playwright Ramon del Valle-Inclan, and its translation into English "Bohemian Lights" by Maria M. Delgado. Ramon del Valle-Inclan is one of the most celebrated authors of Spanish literature; his conception of the world and the human being were shadowed by his observation of Spanish society and the crisis the country was going through at the beginning of the 19th century.
