PIECES TO PEACE is a poetic account of Laila's journey of self-discovery in Toronto as a 26-year-old Afghan-Muslim woman living on her own for the first time. It is her story of pursuing her dreams while coping with personal issues of grief, trauma, poverty, cultural identity and belonging.
