Does crowdfunding as an equity model present a comparative funding advantage in gender and geographic location, with respect to equity funds in Mexico? This paper aims to build a theoretical model based on data from a Mexican equity crowdfunding platform to determine the comparative advantage of crowdfunding, both in terms of gender and geographic inclusion, over traditional sources of funding.
