Oral submucous fibrosis is a crippling fibrotic disorder prevalent in South East Asia, mostly in India. Incidence of oral submucous fibrosis in India is 0.2-0.5% of population. Nasolabial flap proved itself to be extremely vascular and thus a safe flap to use. One stage reconstruction can be safely completed by depeithelization and transbuccaltunneling (when indicated for intraoral use).
