La menstruation est un processus physiologique normal, mais elle revêt diverses significations au sein des cultures. Elle est entourée de différentes perceptions à travers le monde. L'utilisation de serviettes hygiéniques et le lavage de la zone génitale sont des pratiques essentielles pour préserver l'hygiène menstruelle. Les pratiques menstruelles non hygiéniques peuvent avoir des conséquences négatives sur la santé des jeunes filles. Il est donc très important d'évaluer les connaissances et les pratiques relatives aux menstruations chez les étudiantes en soins infirmiers.

Die Menstruation ist ein normaler physiologischer Vorgang, der jedoch in den verschiedenen Kulturen unterschiedliche Bedeutungen hat. Sie wird in der ganzen Welt unterschiedlich wahrgenommen. Die Verwendung von Damenbinden und das Waschen des Genitalbereichs sind wesentliche Praktiken zur Einhaltung der Menstruationshygiene. Unhygienische Menstruationspraktiken können sich negativ auf die Gesundheit der Mädchen auswirken, so dass es sehr wichtig ist, das Wissen und die Praxis in Bezug auf die Menstruation unter Krankenpflegeschülerinnen zu bewerten.
