Strengthening the rights of women has become an imperative area of concern for the world society so that all women could enjoy a dignified status. In India, the National Commission for Women was setup as a 'Statutory Body' on 30th January 1992 under the NCW Act of 1990 to safeguard and represent women's rights and to serve as a strong voice for their concerns.
