In India, there has been a shift from agriculture and manufacturing to the service industry. More people are engaging themself in work that needs them to be in the office environment for most of the day. Also, in this era with many advancements in technologies, occupants are becoming more and more dependent on them where productivity is often compromised. People often fail to recognize the importance of Visual Comfort in a working environment. This book tries to derive a visual comfort scale against available illumination under different conditions in India.
