Song of Almajiri & Other Poems is a collection of poems which explores the multifaceted struggles for survival in Nigeria and other Black African countries. The poems are essentially presented as elegies mourning several losses in the poet's world. Notably, the poet mourns the tragedy of Almajiri syndrome in Northern Nigeria which has led to the ruin of millions of innocent children who are abandoned by their parents under the guise of providing Islamic tutelage. The poet also mourns the devastation which arose as a result of the outbreak of the pandemic Covid 19.

On the wings of the killer birds explores the struggles of three women to survive the ravages of the Nigeria /Biafra war. The novel captures the devastation of the entire south east region of Nigeria by the federal forces whom the locals nicknamed 'vandals'. Despite their losses and suffering, the women, (Rhoda, Uloaku and Njideka) survive the ravages of the war emerging triumphant like the mythical phoenix. The author has through this novel advanced the feminist discourse in Africa.
