Ziel der vorliegenden Studie war es, die moderierende Rolle der emotionalen Intelligenz auf die Beziehung zwischen transformationaler Führung und organisatorischem Engagement zu untersuchen. Es wurde die Hypothese aufgestellt, dass die positive Beziehung zwischen transformationaler Führung und organisatorischem Engagement bei Mitarbeitern mit hoher emotionaler Intelligenz stärker ist als bei solchen mit niedriger emotionaler Intelligenz.
