The angel, Saraquel, wishes to understand human emotions and embarks on an adventure as a fully formed human female. She resides in the home of a retired rabbi who owns an ancient book desired by a Jewish historian who is a dark angel. Feldman, the dark angel will kill to get this book. The death of the rabbi creates a confrontation with Saraquel and Feldman. This story is a microcosm of the battle that is happening on earth between the forces of darkness and the forces of Light.
