Joining God's Sanctuary was supposed to fulfill Donna Ferguson's desire to follow and serve Jesus Christ. Instead, she finds herself in a world of fear and torment filling each day from the moment she moves to Darthmore. As the leaders terrorize, isolate, ostracize, and finally separate her from her children, she sees a parallel between her plea to be reunited with them and God calling "Come Home Children" to those He loves.
