Chemical composition and some physico-chemical parameters of the Physalis peruviana fruit juice were investigated. The antioxidative potential of fruit juice was assessed by means of bleaching of the stable 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radicals. The yield of juice is extremely high and the juice is rich sources of sugars as well as water- and fat-soluble bioactives.
