This study was an attempt to investigate the effect of communicative grammar on the grammatical accuracy of students academic writing. Hence, the effect was examined through the pre-test and the post-test. The results of the pre-test showed that there was no significant difference in the grammar accuracy of the students writing between the control and experimental groups prior to the experiment.
