Born in Bardstown, Kentucky, the youngest of six girls, Barbara Kilbourne lived there until the age of 6, at that point the family moved to an 87 acre farm in Southern Indiana. Barbara graduated high school in Salem, Indiana and spent three years at Asbury Christian College in Wilmore, Kentucky. She transferred to Georgia State University during her senior year where she graduated with a double major in Phycology and Sociology.
