Recognition of hand gestures associated with different alphabets is a very important research area. The persons with vocal and hearing disabilities will benefit a lot from this research. The recognition of handwritten characters is a vital research area in the domain of text segmentation. Various approaches have evolved in the past and intensive research is still being carried out, at present. In this book, we have presented a geometrical feature based approach to recognize handwritten characters.
