Though all groups suffer from armed conflict situations, there is sufficient evidence that such conflcits are gendered and womens already marginalised positions worsens when such conflcits do occur.Using Critical Discourse Analysis, this book suggests that women in Northern Ghana suffered tremeandously in the 1994 "Guinea fowl" conflcit that occurred in Northern Region of Ghana and this is not different from experiences of women else where.
