This paper presents the difficulties of phase reversal and single phasing and proposed a design which is a remedy of these problems at very low cost. Phase reversal and single phasing are very frequent problem in our country. A 3-phase motor does not start if any one phase fails. However if a phase fails during the running condition, it will be overloaded, which may damage the motor winding.
