Quantum structure Infrared Photoetectors (QsIPs) are based on Intersubband transitions. GaAs mature technology makes Quantum Well Infrared Photodetectors (QWIPs) very attractive for their flexibility to enhanced device functionality and ease of integration with optoelectronic devices.
