Ms. Lovick is passionate about the plurality and diversity of cultures within our United States and the world at large, and tries to help her students understand and relate to the music and cultural customs of many races and nationalities. She believes that within our culture there are many misunderstood minorities, not just the ones commonly espoused, and she understands their plight, having herself been part of one minority group or another for much of her life.
