This book, show on two volumes, 151 colour plates of the French infantry before 1789 and other 11 plates always realized by the same artist: Felix Philippoteaux. All this plates derived from an our copy of the book "Atlas de l'Histoire de l'ancienne infanterie francaise" Paris, J. Correard, 1853.
