Gigineishvili's study is a comprehensive exposition of the philosophical system of twelfth-century Georgian Christian Neoplatonist philosopher Ioane Petritsi. Petritsi translated and commented Proclus' "Elements of Theology" - the first complete translation of this treatise ever made.
